


1. Season with salt, pepper and butter, three pounds of round steak
2. Place in the oven in a pan with a little water, and cook thirty minutes, then cover with a layer of sliced raw onions.
3. Cook three- quarters of an hour, then add a layer of sliced tomatoes, cook until tender, sprinkle with grated cheese and when browned serve with a gravy made from the liquid in the pan.
